The most beautiful face of history: After 80 years, a mosaic made up of 7 million pencils was discovered

After decades spent under the thick layer of sand, a mosaic was finally discovered in the Hisham Palace in Jericho in the western Palestinian territory, which was found during archaeological research in 1935.

The mosaic consists of 7 million pebbles that are smaller than one centimeter square and cover over the main halls of the Hisham’s palace.
